OVERVIEW : These
are compact courses consisting of element of study and experience from the yogic
sciences and traditions. The course aims at basic understanding and integration
of different yogic paths, e.g. karma yoga, hatha yoga, bhakti yoga, raja yoga
and jnana yoga through lecture sessions and practical experience. In
the practical section of the course, there is a balanced program of practical
classes, seva yoga (the yoga of selfless service) in ashram projects, kirtan and
satsang.This practical aspect of yoga aims towards a synthesis of ashram and academic
life. A specific assessement of the student’s efforts in seva yoga and gurukul
life is included. Upon successful complection of the course student will have
a sound basis for further advanced higher students in yoga and to run a yoga
